Kim is an Associate Attorney at Baratta Law, LLC where she assists the litigation team in representing individuals seriously injured or killed by the negligent acts of others. She has assisted in numerous multi-million dollar recoveries in catastrophic injury cases arising from medical malpractice, products liability and automobile crashes. Clients can expect a compassionate and responsive attorney who is willing to fight for them.
Not only has Kim achieved successful monetary awards, she along with Anthony Baratta are committed to seeking justice for Baratta Law clients and the community as a whole. They have been influential in bringing about several impactful court decisions. Some of the recent noteworthy opinions include: Erie Ins. Exchange v. Montesano, No. 262 EDA 2021 (Pa. Super. Ct. 2022)(Superior Court of Pennsylvania finds in favor of Plaintiff against insurer where the term “resident” was ambiguous and insured was not physically living in the residence at the time of the accident); Estate of Clarence J. Buchanan, No. 1519-0883 (C.C.P. Chester Cty 2020)(Court found biological father was not entitled to intestate share of any wrongful death proceeds due to no “pecuniary loss”, due to his willful neglect and failure to perform the duties of parental support to the decedent, due to reported molestation of decedent and due to convictions related to endangering the welfare of children and sexual abuse of children).
Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Kim attended George Washington High School and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University. Kim then moved to Boston where she obtained a juris doctorate from New England School of Law.
In 1993, Kim returned to Philadelphia and began her legal career in Center City Philadelphia with the law firm of Greitzer and Locks, where her practice was in the area of civil litigation, specializing in products liability/mass tort cases. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
When Kim Kutler is not spending her time advocating for her clients, she is a dedicated community member that volunteers her time with non-profit programs such as Harmony Retreat & Animal Rescue, The Christmas Gala (focused on assisting Senior adults primarily in Bucks County) and the Richard J. Pogach, M.D. Memorial Foundation, whose proceeds benefit University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center.
